From Prototype to Real-World Testing

On July 15th, Q36.5 joined the Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team at their altitude training camp in Andorra to present four new prototype “extreme heat” skinsuits. These garments were the result of our most recent research within the Dottore Clima range, designed to push the boundaries of aerodynamics and thermoregulation in some of the toughest conditions on the WorldTour calendar. Together with the team’s performance staff, our research partners at Core, and riders including David de la Cruz and Tom Pidcock, we launched a real-world testing protocol. Core body and skin temperatures, fabric drying times, moisture absorption rates, and rider feedback were all meticulously monitored to refine every detail of the new racesuit under true race conditions.

Engineered for the Vuelta a España

In preparation for the Vuelta, where extreme heat is a defining factor, our objective was clear: optimize the delicate balance between aerodynamics and thermoregulation. The result was the new Dottore Clima racesuit, a team-issue only piece of equipment engineered for champions. The suit combines our iconic Dottore Clima bib shorts with an ultralight jersey construction derived from the latest Clima range research. This hybrid design was conceived to deliver the ultimate marginal gain: keeping riders cooler, drier, and faster when it matters most. Every element of the racesuit reflects this goal, from material choice to panel placement, ensuring that Pidcock and his teammates can perform at their peak even in the harshest summer conditions.
