On the occasion of our monthly “Q-Talks” webinar of April we asked the over 300 participants to compile a simple questionnaire that attempted to better understand the biggest kit issues facing riders in summer conditions, from moisture management in humid climates to overheating to managing extreme temperature volatility to, quite simply, general health and comfort. Analyzing the results with his internal team, Q36.5’s founder and head of R&D, Luigi Bergamo, developed 5 outfit proposals which he believed represented the perfect solution to the specific combinations of problems listed by riders. “For all riders suffering in humid conditions where temperatures are not necessarily high but ventilation and dry air is hard to come by, we recommend the Gregarius Clima jersey as our chosen knitted fabrics (as opposed to woven of the Dottore Clima) remain slightly less compact with a small but important increase in air flow. This allows for better air flow between body and jersey whilst we recommend our lightest base layer (0) not just for increased wicking body surface area keeping you drier, but also for “cosiness” in moments where intensity decreases but the body remains wet. Made from a proprietary mesh knitted fabric, the Q36.5 Gregarius Clima Weathermap Jersey creates an almost imperceptible 3D structure across the torso to improve ventilation as well as moisture transfer.
