All Q36.5 bib shorts are designed and engineered internally and manufactured in Italy within 350km of our Dolomites HQ. 90% of the components used to manufacture our bibshorts are proprietary. This means that you will find fabrics, finishes, chamois pads and construction techniques found on no other products on the market, it also means that each component on each bib short has been engineered specifically for the characteristics of that bib short system. No design compromises to ensure that whatever Q36.5 bibshort you ride in, there is no compromise on your comfort.

A Revolutionary Chamois Engineered by Us

Engineering its chamois pads entirely in-house, Q36.5 has developed a 2-piece chamois system like no other on the market. Thanks to the separation and distinct engineering of the cover fabric (the part of the chamois system that always remains in contact with your body) from the pad (the foam part of the chamois that acts as the primary interface between you and the saddle), we are able to guarantee that you, the rider, will always have perfect contact with the saddle even when sitting at imperfect angles as well as remaining noticeably drier and cooler.

From the very first pedal stroke riders will appreciate a feeling of superior muscular support, comfort, and on-bike stability. This unique feeling is achieved through the use of four different proprietary woven fabrics as well as our patented Q LAB Air Chamois, which provides total comfort and superior moisture management. The use of a high-density woven material with gradual compression along the leg panels in particular ensures a superior alignment of muscle fibers during the repetitive action of lengthening and contracting the legs, creating an important performance advantage over long distances. The Silver yarn found in the leg panels reduces the negative impact of naturally occurring electric charges produced by the body during exercise as well as boosting the blood flow and increases oxygen supply to cells.

Dottore bibshorts are the maximum expression of Q36.5’s approach to high performance, each bibshort in the Dottore range has been engineered to give you, the rider, a feel of maximum support. This support can be immediately noticed in the “locked in” feeling of perfect contact between your chamois pad and saddle and the shorts with your groin area, achieved through interaction between the high modulus force of our woven fabrics and the proprietary two-piece chamois system.

The variable density of the leg panel (with its signature silver yarn), which gives a mild compressive feeling, works to align the muscle fibers of your legs, facilitating a correct elongation and contraction of the muscle, reducing fatigue over long distances.

The result, whilst riding, is that of superior control of your bicycle and pedalling action, as though almost being guided by an invisible teacher or doctor, even in moment of maximum exertion and fatigue.

Why choose a bib short made from woven fabric?

In 2013, inspired by the innovations of competition swimsuits, Q36.5 became the first brand in the world to create a pair of cycling bib shorts made from stretch woven fabrics. Up until then allow cycling bib shorts had been made with knitted fabrics that allowed for stretch and softer hand. But woven fabrics, if developed correctly allow, offer the following important advantages:

Totally redesigned from the ground up for 2025 with 100% proprietary components, the Q36.5 Gregarius Pro Bib Shorts for Women have been engineered to provide the rider with the most free, unrestricted, and “not-even-there” on-the-bike feeling, without any compromise to our signature comfort and ergogenic support. This uniquely unrestricted feeling of the Gregarius Pro is the result of system which fuses a new ergogenic pattern (four different fabrics, minimal stitching) with our revolutionary adaptive chamois pad. The Q LAB Air Chamois employs a single layer cover fabric without lamination or foam for rapid drying and breathability during hot conditions while the C-shaped foam pad underneath is inserted directly into the pattern of the shorts, creating a single plane from straps to groin. This design offers noticeably superior stability and comfort for the rider. Even during the hardest moments of the climb, you will need to look down at your legs to remind yourself that you are even wearing anything!

The superior version of what you already use

The Gregarius range of bib shorts take the pinnacle technologies of the Dottore bib short range and retunes them to create a bib short that at first feels comfortingly familiar, but once on the bike offers you a distinct performance upgrade. This upgrade arrives in the form of comfort (Gregarius uses identical straps, lumbar support panel, chamois, method of chamois attachment to the Dottore), moisture management and, new for 2025, ultra minimal pattern that reduces stitching to the essential. You will be able to stay out longer, in worse weather, than ever before. The ultimate all-rounder.

Why so familiar?

The “familiar” feeling of the Gregarius bib shorts is achieved by the use of a knitted fabric (rather than the woven fabrics that characterize the Dottore bib shorts) for the leg panels of its shorts. The knitted fabric on the Gregarius bib shorts has a softer feel to those of the Dottore (though a similar level of compressiveness) and, combined with our new, ergonomic, cut allows for the feeling of the presence of fabric on your legs to almost entirely disappear whilst riding. You’ll actually have to look down to remember that you even have anything on!
