In the summer heat of Andorra, Cameron Wurf set out to answer a simple question: what happens when you combine one of cycling’s most demanding adventures with Q36.5’s new Dottore Clima range? What began as a conversation with Luigi Bergamo and the Q36.5 R&D team soon became an ambitious challenge—riding every climb in Andorra in a single day. Starting at 6:20 a.m. in temperatures as low as 9°C and facing more than 20°C of temperature variation throughout the ride, Cameron spent over 12 hours in the saddle, covering 300 km and 10,000 m of elevation gain while putting both himself and the latest Dottore Clima apparel through the ultimate real-world test.

The video follows this extraordinary journey across every corner of Andorra, joined in part by Tom Pidcock, riding in his favourite blue-grey Dottore Clima kit as he accompanied his friend for a few hours.

“When Luigi’s got something new I guess he likes my opinion and understands that I’ll give them a good test run and my training rides are pretty aggressive so he just sends them over and I’ll send him messages with my comments. Also, I’ll often use things across all 3 sports so for example a pair of socks could stay on my feet for 8 hours of activity.”

“Despite being a summer jersey, in middle temperatures it still performs really well, and you don’t feel like you need something else over the top when it’s a bit cooler. It is so stable across so many temperatures. For example, I can wear this jersey for a climb, put in an effort, zip up at the top and descend without needing to add an extra layer. The jersey doesn’t have that cold, sweaty feel that can really bring your temperature down on a long descent.
The new fit feels great. When I put it on, I feel fast. Combined with how light it is, it’s just on a different level.”

“The base layers are incredible especially in summer here in Andorra where the mornings can still be cool, around 14°C, in so much as I can put one in the morning to keep me a bit warmer for the first part of the ride but as the day goes on I don’t even notice that it’s there. When it’s hot it doesn’t overheat me at all, I don’t even know how Luigi makes that happen. It’s quite incredible. Even days when it gets really hot there’s a good chance it stays on all day.”

“I love this. When I was training in California in Big Bear I used to use it to descend on the bike in the morning to the pool then I’d use it as a towel after my swim before riding back up again. In Andorra I use it for descending and get lots of kudos from the other guys I’m riding with who have to stop to put an extra jacket on.”
