    3D Air Insulation

    The key to the project was to use our Air Insulation, a proprietary ultralight fleece made from mesh. And to NOT bond this fleece to the outer shell, as is traditionally done.

    The wrinkles you see in the jacket are actually capturing air – which is the best and lightest insulation in the world – between the shell and fleece. They are hi-tech wrinkles!

A specially constructed 3-layer material employing spacer fabric (usually found in automotive industry) covers the main area of the overshoe, entrapping the warmth generated by your feet to keep a stable temperature zone while allowing excess heat to escape before it condenses into chilly moisture. An extremely durable and robust Dyneema fabric is used for the outsole area of the foot while a reflective mesh covers the zip and ankle area.
