Inspired by skinsuit construction and the desire for a versatility absent from other ultralight jerseys on the market, our founder Luigi Bergamo explains how the Dottore Pro Jersey has evolved over the last 10 years to reach its current form.

“The Dottore was the first jersey we ever designed, 10 years ago. But at Q we are always in beta-mode, always tinkering and fine-tuning and this year we have arrived at the 4th generation of the jersey.”

“Compared to the 1st generation from 2013, the ‘signature feeling’ of today’s model is still the same but the engineering and performance are far more advanced. Like driving a 90s type 996 Porsche 911 compared to today’s 992 series…”

“The initial idea for the jersey – that we still respect today – was to take an aero skinsuit top construction with its elimination of frontal seams and bring it, for the first time, to an everyday jersey. The Dottore has an extremely minimal construction with its few seams strategically placed for comfort and to give an aggressive pre-shaped fit.”

“The Dottore was also the world’s first jersey to be made from woven fabric, allowing us to reduce overall weight and drying times and, most importantly for performance, maintain protective qualities and thus versatility across conditions and temperature ranges. This protectiveness is the most lacking factor in other ultralight jerseys on the market”

“The woven fabric we use in 2025 is even more advanced, with a particular rough hand given by the 3D structure of the fabric, allowing for greater contact with the skin and thus moisture management. Of course the jersey also uses our signature silver yarn for superior thermoregulation as well as our invisible pocket system… ”

The Q36.5 Dottore Pro Cycling Jersey for Men is a jersey for design purists, with a unique sleeve cut that entirely eliminates the use of shoulder seams creating a perfect on-the-bike fit. Constructed from a 3D-woven fabric with silver thread, the jersey offers superior thermoregulation and ultra-fast drying times. The texture of the fabric is aero-optimized, providing the greatest advantage to riders at speeds between 40 and 59km/h.
