Q36.5 Racing Expedition Germany e.V. is the official amateur team of Q36.5 – a german community of ambitious cyclists who share their passion and represent the values of the brand. The team is a registered association and provides the opportunity to issue racing licenses.

About Us

Behind Q36.5 Racing Expedition Germany e.V. is not a traditional race team, but a strong community. Our members are spread across Germany, meeting at races, gran fondos, and events – sometimes together, sometimes individually – always carrying the spirit of Q36.5: innovation, performance, and authenticity.  Whether on the road, in training, or at events – we are a community that connects.

Events & Activities

Our members participate in races across Germany and internationally – from regional competitions to major amateur events and championships.

The full team is not always present. Sometimes it is a single rider, sometimes a small group – yet all represent Q36.5 Racing Expedition Germany e.V. and strengthen the club character.  Participation in events is not mandatory – we also have members who do not actively race but are part of the community and live the spirit of the association in their own way.

Our riders are ambassadors for the Q36.5 brand, while at the same time being part of a community that goes beyond sport.

As the official amateur team of Q36.5, we are directly supported by the brand. Together with additional partners, we provide a platform that combines athletic performance with a strong sense of community.

Your Membership Benefits

Team Apparel: The annual membership includes an exclusive team jersey. The matching team bib shorts are mandatory and must be purchased separately. In addition, members have the opportunity to purchase further team design products at attractive prices.
Insurance: As a member you are doubly insured – through ARAG sports insurance and an exclusive private bicycle insurance.
Racing License Included: Membership automatically includes registration with the Bavarian Cycling Federation and the German Cycling Federation. On request, you can additionally apply for your official racing license.

Important Information for Members:

Members of Q36.5 Racing Expedition Germany are automatically registered with the Bavarian State Sports Association and the Bavarian Cycling Association (BRV) and are insured through these organizations. A racing license can be applied for but is not mandatory.
Membership does not renew automatically and is valid for one year. Q36.5 Racing Expedition places great emphasis on “Fair Play.” By registering, every team member confirms that they will never use prohibited substances, apply banned methods, or possess banned substances under any circumstances. The Q36.5 Racing Expedition is not a regional club but includes athletes from across Germany. Regular group rides are not offered. Participation in events and activities is at the athlete’s own risk, and associated costs must be borne by the participant.

Founder – Carola Skarabela

With the founding of the team, Carola Skarabela transformed her long-standing passion for cycling into a joint project. Her goal was to create a platform that combines competitive sport with community, support, and professional organization.  With her background in the sports industry, marketing, and as an active cyclist, Carola places great value on ensuring that the team is not only successful in competition but also builds a community.

The team continues to grow – driven by team spirit, fairness, and enthusiasm for the sport.
