An extreme vision of the
modern cycling clothing

The Termica Long Salopette is the extension of the ‘leg-weapon’ performance-tuned feel of the Long Salopette (best used between 5-15°C) into sub-zero temperature suitability. This piece of riding equipment is a reflection of a very contemporary idea of winter training in which the rider does not ‘slow’ during the cold season so much as research their position work on their cadence, never stop looking at their watts… Gone is the thick, heavy, simple and relaxed feel of the traditional winter tight, in its place you can now find a leg weapon.

ergogenic-pattern

Ergogenic Pattern

An Ergogenic Pattern garment has been designed in such a way as that all panels and fabrics are tuned to support specific musculature groups during sporting activity. Garments designed with Ergogenic Patterns will be distinguished by their extremely snug but not constrictive feel and increased stability during the pedalling motion, as the fabric, cut and panel alignment support a balanced position and accordingly reduce muscular fatigue on longer or more intense rides.

vectorial-elasticity

Vectorial Elasticity

An extension of the Ergogenic pattern concept Vectorial Elasticity particularly refers to the intelligent alignment of panels so that the ergogenic qualities of the fabric (modulus force, elastic return and stretch) are orientated in function of the direction of the pedalling action conferring a: stabilization of fibres which may be disturbed by bumps and other irregularities in the road surface; superior circulation thanks to the pump effect of the pressure applied to musculature; improvement in proprioception thanks to the uniform sensation of ‘second skin’ given by the material.
The elasticity of the fabric along the warp’s vector is instead orientated to operate with least resistance on the downward motion of the foot and with greatest return during the upward motion of the foot, thus reducing fatigue and guiding an economical pedalling action.

hybrid-shell

UF Hybrid Shell

This high level of versatility is achieved by astute combination of two key fabrics: the first is our proprietary UFHybridShell fabric, an insulating ribbed fleece material woven with such an extraordinary density as to give the fabric windblocking values which come close to those of laminated shell windstopper fabrics. In fact the name HybridShell is given by the fabric’s ability to mimic the characteristics of a fabric with a membrane (shell) while still maintaining the advantages of breathability and elasticity (for fit) of woven fabrics. This material has also undergone a treatment before being woven for water resistance and fast drying times. While the UFHybridShell is employed in core heat zones and the areas most affected by wind chill (chest, upper back, upper arms and front of forearms), the fast drying UFL1 fabric is employed in the back and underside of the forearms.
