Vincenzo Nibali is set to tackle the untamed African MTB race, Absa Cape Epic. 8 stages, more than 600 km and over 15000 m of climbing set the scene to go to the limit – and beyond.
We asked Vincenzo about his change from road racing to mountain bike racing, what fascinates him about the sport and what his goals for Cape Epic are.
“As an ambassador for Q36.5, the goal for this project is to test their materials, to put them under stress, in extreme conditions such as racing in high temperatures, but also in dusty, muddy, dirty conditions, and to test the durability of the materials, the the consistency, breathability, and all the fundamental factors that are required to produce high-performance clothing.”
