Winter is coming, are you ready?
Until now winter tights have not played a glamorous role in the lives of serious cyclists. Whether tights are soft, spongy or fleece or are the more protective 3-layer water and wind proof variety, winter tights have always been seen as strictly a ‘training tool’ for long, gruelling kilometres, never as something exciting, fashionable or with ergogenic support. When Q36.5 developed the Long Salopette L1 and Termica Long Salopette, it was with the vision of a specialist piece of Equipment that would extend the radical feel of the ergogenic support found in the normal Salopette into the winter season, thus breaking with the old tradition of drab winter tights as a tool that just keeps you warm. Also perfect for winter rides, our jackets are calibrated to the regional sweat rate of the body and designed specifically for modern, high-intensity winter training. Our obsessive research into smart fabrics has resulted in the versatile characteristics of our high-density woven proprietary fabrics. This allows for the construction of the lowest volume garment offering the most stable body temperature during activity. Every layer must work in interconnection with the others in order to provide proper thermoregulation. It’s nothing more than the Essential: a lightweight system of Equipment that lets the rider stay warm in any condition but also prevents overheating. It’s a pure expression of the Layering Chain Value System, a methodological approach that allows each layer to work as a component in the overall system.
