    Rides

In four days, the LFT crew, a cycling collective from Germany crossed the country and rode 800km with 7.000vm from Bregenz to Bratislava.

Mountains, wide fields, a bit of snow and lots of unexpected sun accompanied them on their journey.

Read their full experience below, day by day and learn about the kit they used to brave any weather condition.

    DAY 1

“This was our first stage of the Austrian border to border winter edition! We learned that in winter everything can happen after the next corner. We had to climb over avalanches, slid over icy roads and had to push our bike though deep snow.

The total ride today was 173km with 2800vm.”

    DAY 2

“Two days in the book of our tour border to border! We planned this as a winter trip but today has felt like a spring ride, because the sun was shining the entire day.”

    DAY 3

“Long days in the saddle at our border to border tour through Austria. Therefore it’s time to celebrate the epic sunset. Today was the underrated queen stage! 240km with 2.400vm.

Legs are tired, but Bratislava is just around the corner.”

    DAY 4

4/4 days of our tour border to border 🇦🇹 are over. We crossed the whole country from west to east. Mountains, wide fields, a bit snow and a lot of sun accompanied us.

    The Rain Protection Kit

“We planned it as a winter trip, but sometimes it felt like a spring ride, because the sun was shining three out of four days. However, the tour was tough for all of us.
Every day we started before the sunrise to spend around 10 hours on the bike. It’s still a tough time of the year. Nevertheless, we saw many nice and different faces. Not just in terms of changing landscape, but also many people, who accompanied us for a few kilometres on this journey. I guess that’s the beauty of cycling!”
