Technical Features
The Q36.5 Gregarius Essential Cycling Bib Shorts are the everyday essential bib shorts for rides of all lengths and intensities. They are designed using a minimum of seams and panels to reduce pressure points and the potential for unwanted friction. The result is a 3-season pair of bibs that you can wear for long distance and high intensity training.
Made using 100% recycled yarns, which not only include recycled polyamide but also recycled elastane, the Gregarius Essential Bib Shorts provide a comfort-oriented fit that supports the muscles without feeling constrictive. The raw cut of the leg hems adds to the level of comfort by keeping the leg cuff in place without resorting to using silicone. The method eliminates hot spots and pressure points on the thigh. The straps have been made light and breathable while still offering exceptional support.
For the saddle and the chamois interface, we use our proprietary pattern to improve the saddle/chamois intersection which eliminates the central seam which typically causes pressure and discomfort while on the saddle. The pattern replicates the contact surface of the saddle and is made with a molded fabric that adapts naturally to the different typology of saddles. To increase comfort in the pelvic zone, an anti-stress cut allows more freedom of movement and no pressure points.
The chamois uses a new three-dimensional Super Molded construction that better follows the anatomy of the human body and offers improved comfort during the ride. The foam padding has been calibrated according to the scheme of variable densities and thicknesses in the perineal, ischiatic, genital and gluteal zones resulting in an extremely sophisticated tuning of its overall comfort. The chamois uses a unique molding technique that produces smooth variations in the thickness of the padding, markedly improving the contact with the rider’s skin.

I am a proud owner of a few Q36.5 items (pinstripe jersey, gloves, neckwarmer, half shorts), so I knew the bibshorts (even this basic model), will be high quality. As a woman outside ladies sizes of the italian brands, I ordered the men's (unisex) version and it fits me very well, it is like my second skin. The fabric is really soft, thin, but still supportive. Laser cut raw hems without silicon stays right above the knees, sits firmly without any squeezing. Straps are not made from the net, so they are not twisting or shrinking, enough wide not cutting the flash. It seems to me that it is a similar material as used on the hems, just a bit thicker. I also like the navy color. Not sure how different is the chamois in ladies version, but this one goes well with my saddle and my bum. Tested on long day trips on gravel bike and I cannot complain. And it is not bulky at all. So sporty ladies of EU size above 42, do not hesitate and try this male/unisex version. Just for the reference - I am an athletic type, 165 cm, size in EU between 44 and 46, I wear these bibshorts and mentioned half shorts L1 in size XXL. It is probably made for a taller body, but somehow it doesn't feel loose at all.

I was looking for a basic short distance bibs for everyday rides in warmer tempertures. And these bibs are just that. Lite weight and breath well. But for me the chamois does not fit me well. I get chaffing, even on short 8-12 mile rides. I have a coupling of other bibs and i have no chaffing from them. So these bibs are for really short rides now.
